Nemeth Racing & Sitko Family Racing to Join Forces in 2006

Chilliwack, BC - The Top Alcohol Funny Car teams of Nemeth Racing of Chilliwack, BC and Sitko Family Racing of Edmonton, AB are pleased to announce a joining of forces for the 2006 season.

Team owner & driver, Tim Nemeth will compete in a new, fresh off the jig, Prostart chassis fitted with a 2002 firebird body acquired from the Sitko family. The Sitko family will be parking their family owned funny car for the time being and 21 year old Nathan Sitko will drive Nemeth Racing's second car (pictured below) with the Sitko family's roots Hemi power plant between the rails. "I think it's going to be great for both teams, and a lot of fun. I'm really looking forward to running with another team because it's something we have never done before." states Nathan. The teams will combine their knowledge, experience, parts and resources to allow both teams to step up their programs this year.

"Steve Boggs will be back in '06 as a tuning consultant for the team, he is also making sure my new chassis is just right. We are hoping to improve on our third place finish in 2005 and battle for the top spot this year against some very tough competitors in Division 6." said Nemeth. Last year Tim ran a career best of 5.76 @ 250mph. With the new roller and a few updates to his engine combination Tim is hoping to better those numbers this year. Nathan's goal is to run consistently in the high fives with the roots combo.

Tim's schedule for the 2006 season includes all five NHRA Division 6 races, the NHRA Northwest Nationals at Seattle and the Top Alcohol Shoot Out in his hometown of Medicine Hat, AB. Nemeth Racing is proud to represent their marketing partners Pennzoil, Barry Hamel Equipment, River City Nissan, R.J. Enterprises, Chicago Pneumatics, Corporate Electric and Demidoff Equipment. Nathan will compete at select NHRA Division 6 events in addition to his regularly scheduled commitments in Alberta, BC, and Saskatchewan. The Sitko team will also compete at the IHRA Rocky Mountain Nationals in Edmonton, and tentatively plan to race at the NHRA Northwest Nationals in Seattle. Sitko is pleased to welcome back Edmonton based sponsors Western Camp Services, Campbell Automotive, Fairmont Electroplating and Precision Performance.
