I must run 36x17x16's on my funnycar to get it at the correct ride height but I'm not sure which tire to run. 125wb, BBC 588ci, 1471 hi helix @ 15% over, power glide with 1.87 1st, 4,000 stall 4.30 rear gears, double beadlocks. Wanting to run 6.80-6.90's in Top comp, 6.80 funnycar match race. Thanks in advance, jh

Hoosier makes a 36 inch tall tire that works well. I like the Mickey Thompsons, but I believe they only come in 34.5 tall. I haven't had much luck with Goodyears.

    mickey 36s

I have personally used the mickey 36s and they stopped all tire shake i was experiencing on my dragster. Frank was extremely helpful. I have tried goodyears and hoosiers without any success. Frank told be that the 36s were of a stiff wall design. I know of several of the Protopoutlaws who run these tires with much success. They have 114" roll out. I use them with beadlocks. Until i find something better they are the best kept secret out there. Call Frank and tell him you heard about them from the Protopoutlaws racers.
