MSD points box and coil orientation

Hi everyone.

Due to a chassis design change on the car, we are having to move some bits on the car to accomodate the fire bottles, magneto boxes and coils etc, and wanted to ask if anyone had ever mounted the MSD 44 points boxes and coils face up before? And if so if they had any problems doing so. (ie. They only functioned correctly stood up)

I know I sometimes see MSD / Onboard comp hardware laying face up in cars in a data logger box, but wanted to know if the points box and coil need to be standing up mounted in the car or could be laid out with no problems in their function.

Hopefully it doesn't sound a silly question, just wanted to make sure they weren't constructed just to be mounted one way specifically.
