monitoring question

    hi all!
    i m finishing my blown alcohol mopar wedge engine and would like to know,apart from the obvious oil pressure and blower boost,am i supposed to monitor engine temp as well,and is it done through an oil temp guage or is there another way?
    i m using a cast block with block filler and alum heads,with block filler as well.
    thanks in advance for any infos!

    Monitoring

    I know some guys are putting infared sensors on their dataloggers and logging cylinder head temps.

    which part of the engine should i monitor for temp first?
    should i monitor oil temp as well?
