I am running a Titan 10" triple disc pedal clutch in my nostalgia FC. What is the minimum disc thickness I should run? I have 1 disc at .285 and the other 2 are .325.

    Thanks

I don't put anything under .320 in for the next run, I consider .290 to be a dead player.

One of the issues I have found with thin clutch discs and floaters is that eventually you will run out of adjustment room in the stands. I even took the washers off that are between the adjusters and the hat. On the other hand as things get thinner- (discs and floaters) there will be more problems with warpage from heat. As for a manufacturer determined minimum thickness I have never seen anything. Dave Germain

    pack thickness

    Just fyi

I know on the Crowers I've worked on, you usually want to keep your pack thickness above 1.590 to have enough travel to get your airgap right. Put your thicker discs/floaters closest to the flywheel.

How far you can run them down depends on a number of things, budget, how hard you run and how often you service the clutch.

If you service the clutch every run, you can get away with as low as .280-.290. I usually don't put anything in less than .290, but that's with servicing the clutch every run. Between run wear and cutting the disc after a run, I typically lose .010 to .015 each run. If you're not servicing the clutch every run, you may not want to put anything in less than .310 or so.

Thanks guys. Being this is a match 7.50 match race car I hope not to be servicing between rounds. I'm still learning. I let the adjustment get a little to far out and started having tire shake issues. Bought new disc's today and will try it again on Wed.
