Anyone running one? I run a powerglide currently and have had poor luck with all the best parts. I think Mike's is the last try before going to a Bruno/Lenco or Lencodrive. What is your guys opinions? Also Mikes's recomend a Continental torque convertor

yeah i have one.. run it season after season absolutely no problems. when you call mike just ask to talk to him... he is very hands on and knows his stuff frontward, backward, and sideways. and fwiw i send my back to him over the winter and have him freshen it. probably could do it myself... but i feel better straddling the damn thing knowing he freshened it.

only 'maintenance' i perform is fresh fluid a couple times a season

125" altered blown 90% nitro big block runs 200+ no problems if you wanna run a glide mikes is the ONLY way to go in my opinion!

What I have seen that lets down a powerglide equipped car is too big a rear tyre, I switched down to a 33" and moved the rear end ratio up to 3.89. No issues since.

I'm leaning towards the Monsterglide but I still have it in the back of my head its still just a powerglide and I'm tired of fixing them. If I step my car up to 2000-2200 hp I don't want to destroy it. I have been looking at the B&J coverter drive also and they seem to have some better features than the Bruno.

At 2200hp you will not hurt Mike's Monsterglide. I personally know of blown cars running more power than that and have no problems at all with his top of the line transmission. But it's your money.

We have run Mike's Monster glides in a dragster for the last 6 years, It is behind a BBC 500 inches, with a PSI 206D screw, we are making over 2400 H.P. and we have never hurt it, tire shake to boot, I have 4.30 rear gears and 36 by 17 tires, on a few passes this year we had the front tires up to 250 feet, best 60 foot time .923, the only service we do is a band adjustment one time a race, and new fuild and filter every 2 races, there is not a better product out there, Mike has a lot of the parts made that no else has, If you want to spend twice the money that is your deal for a brono, But Mikes deal works very well, there are also some very cool adjustnments that Mike has put on his trans that no one else has. The best thing to do is just call him and let him know what you are running and see what he has to say. If you would like any more info give me a PM , good luck
