    hi!
i just purchased a bunch of used parts and would like to know the best way to clean them,if possible.
-a used mag psi low profile injector that has black marks on top from restraint straps.
-a blower bag and an engine diaper, both of them "oily" in and out.
    thanks

Cleaning magnesium? If it still has the Dow 7 coating on it (the green/gold colored coating), DONT try and clean it (especially with anything abrasive), you'll take it all off in no time. Just wipe it down with a little tranny fluid on a soft rag. If the Dow coating is all gone, (It will have a dull gray look, and feel kind of "fuzzy"), then your best bet is to send it back to PSI or Littlefields and have them redo the Dow 7 coating, as it will never look good for longer than a day, because mag corrodes so quickly.

For the blower bag and diaper, 1/2 laundry soap and 1/2 Castrol Super Clean works well.

    Good luck

    thanks a lot!
the injector looks like it was never coated,as it is completely grey.
i just came across an article in an old hot rod magazine issue about wheel cleaning, and they mantioned the use of baby oil on a mag wheel to keep it clean...is it serious?
