Johnson Hopes for ‘Home Field Advantage’ in Houston

<img border="0" src="http://insidetopalcohol.com/johnsonnplaunch.jpg" width="400" height="258" align="left">Houston – With two divisional races under their belts, the Etterman Racing team arrives at Houston Raceway Park for the O’Reilly Spring Nationals with the utmost optimism to maintain a strong finish. The team works well with one another and with new driver Jonathan Johnson, and they look forward to another solid finish, just this time on the national trail.

In the first two races, the team obtained a couple of solid appearances: a No. 1 qualifying resulting in a semi-final finish in Memphis, TN, proceeded by a No. 2 qualifying effort coupled with a runner-up in Belle Rose, LA. The team comprises eight hardworking individuals, all having a burning desire to win, and that is what we always set out to do. Even though the O’Reilly Spring Nationals marks the teams first national together, they are eager as ever to get in and get the wheels turning.

“As we stated in our 2006 preview, we were hitting two divisional races right off, so we’d be ready to roll in Houston, and I think we are,” Team Owner George Etterman states. Etterman continues, “Jonathan has had a couple of weekend in the car and seems to be comfortable. It should be exciting to see how we match up against the brutal field slated for Houston!”

“This week had been rather quick since returning from Memphis, but to be honest, it’s been great! I love racing with the Etterman’s and am pumped about this weekend,” Jonathan explains. “I know going into the event what we are up against, and I welcome the challenge. I have all the confidence in the world in David Scheelk, George and Jane Etterman, and Genie and Dickie Harshey, and I think we can give everyone a run for their money!” Johnson concludes.

“The team works wonderfully together, plain and simple, and that is very reassuring,” Katie Ward, Marketing & Graphics, exclaims. “The hardest thing to come by is a group of people that works so well with one another as Etterman Racing does. I believe that now having some great seat time under him in the Bar’s Leaks Stratus, Jonathan’s skill as a driver has grown immensely in these few short weeks. Between his driving ability and David’s know-how on the car, there is no stopping them,” Ward testifies.

Etterman Racing is very pleased that they have the ability to appear at Houston Raceway Park and hope that all of our local friends, family and marketing partners will stop by the pits this weekend.
