InsideTopAlcohol.com Top Alcohol Warm Up set for San Antonio Raceway

MARION, Texas - Beautiful and historic San Antonio, Texas, will be where many Top Alcohol Dragster and Funny Car teams kick off their 2006 schedule as San Antonio Raceway and InsideTopAlcohol.com have teamed up to present the InsideTopAlcohol.com Top Alcohol Warm Up, Feb. 17-19. The event will feature 280 mph Top Alcohol and Injected Nitro Dragsters and 260 mph Top Alcohol Funny Cars, along with a big money bracket race.

Event co-promoter Will Hanna, owner of InsideTopAlcohol.com, a popular website which covers the alcohol cars, is excited to bring the warm-up to San Antonio Raceway.

"I feel like this is an excellent opportunity for Top Alcohol competitors to test on a Grade A track surface and facility," said Hanna. "With excellent weather conditions in that area during that time of year, a national event quality surface, and plenty of cars going down the track to keep it seasoned, should provide premium conditions for the alcohol cars."

San Antonio Raceway owner Todd Zampese is excited about bringing the event to his track.

"We feel this is an excellent opportunity to kick the year off with a bang here at San Antonio Raceway," commented Zampese. "This will give our local fans some great racing action and a preview of what they can see at our national event, the Amalie Oil Nationals presented by Ancira in March. It also will kick the year off for our local racers with a big money bracket race."

The event will give the alcohol cars three test sessions on Friday, and five scheduled sessions on Saturday and Sunday. Racers have an opportunity to run each session, but are not required to run all sessions.

To be eligible for the free testing, alcohol racers must pre enter with Hanna at InsideTopAlcohol.com. Email Will.Hanna@InsideTopAlcohol.com for more information.
