Currently building a Funny car Chassis, We have just finished mounting Fuel and Oil tanks. And have mounted Puke Tank behind cage off Body mount pipe work.
Just ready to weld the front breather pipe from the tappet covers into the top chassis rail in front of the engine, and was going to weld also the breather pipe line into the top chassis rail for the breather pipe in the dry sump oil tank.
And the idea is for the oil from tappet covers and any menthol in breather pipes where to exit into the top chassis rails and go to the puke tank. Any pressure in the dry sump oil storage tank to breath and go up the top chassis rail and end up in the puke tank.
Now what would stop any old oil and menthol exiting from the engine via the tappet cover breathers instead of going to puke tank and going down to the dry sump oil storage tank and therefore contaminating the good oil in the dry sump tank.

Photos I have of other funny cars dont show any one way valve on the dry dump oil storage tank breather exit line.

Any ideas or throughts would be appreciated.

Mr. Price; most do run a one way valve made by Plueger
    +562-943-1595 fax +562-943-1216, about $50. Get the 3/4".
Those that don't run them, someday will wind up with an oil tank that looks like Louie Armstrong's cheeks.;)
Don't forget to install drains at the very front bottom of the top rails. (Unlike most, empty everytime after you get home, BEFORE you weld on anything)(good advise from a guy who's on his fourth set of eyebrows!)

    Sizes for Puke Tank breather

    Hi Bob,
Thanks for that advice, I have yet to see a chassis with a valve fitted.
yes we were going to make drain plugs for the top rails,
We have used 1 1/4" outside diameter pipes out of the rear top rail to match puke tank inlet pipes.
What is the most common size pipe (outside diameter) required for the breathers pipes from the tappett covers. have not got an Hemi engine yet to measure.
    Regards Greg
