Follow A Dream Partners with PPG Industries

Marstons Mills, MA— Follow A Dream announced today a partnership with PPG Industries as a product sponsor. PPG will provide paint and materials for repaint and freshening of Follow A Dream’s Championship NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car. The new paint scheme will debut at the AC Delco NHRA Gatornationals in Gainesville, FL, March 16-19.

Jay Blake Founder and Owner of Follow A Dream, Inc., stated, “This is a great opportunity for Follow A Dream to work with PPG. We’ve been building a relationship with them for awhile and they have been so helpful in this whole process. We’re excited to continue building on this relationship while promoting PPG to the millions of car enthusiasts in the world of drag racing and the thousands of people we reach each year through our community outreach program.”

Established in 1883, PPG Industries is a leading diversified manufacturer that supplies its products and services around the world. PPG makes protective and decorative coatings, sealants, adhesives, metal pretreatment products, flat glass, fabricated glass products, continuous-strand fiber glass products, and industrial and specialty chemicals.

The Follow A Dream NHRA Top Alcohol Funny Car is owned and operated by Jay Blake; the only totally blind crew chief in the world of motor sports, and one of the nation’s most inspirational speakers. Jay Blake has been featured on NBC, CBS, ESPN, ESPN2, CNN, and NECN, to name a few.

Follow A Dream, a 501c3 non profit corporation is Mr. Blake’s answer to merging his 20-year love of drag racing with what he views as his responsibility to demonstrate through personal example, that dreams do not have to be surrendered to a life-altering or potentially catastrophic disability. Mr. Blake, a career mechanic, suffered an industrial accident in 1997 that rendered him totally blind. Instead of giving up, he forged ahead with his dream of racing and ultimately assembled an enthusiastic race team.
