After a protracted build up I finally got my car to the track today. I posted here for advice before; funny car 588ci 1471 blower p/g. @ 12% over leaving at 3400 rpm car went 1.005 60ft, at the gear change (250 ft) the car just broke the tires loose and spun them hard (smoke coming off). A quick pedal got it re-hooked and we got a 3.133 330 time. After the car recovered it quickly broke something in the tranny and locked up the rear end, car (rear)started hopping off the ground 400 ft through the 660 mark at 5.062. So after 1 1/2 years of waiting we got three good seconds, sometimes that's enough :)

Looks like we were on a low 7 second pass? The motor sure seemed happy with only 27* of timing and a very fat tune up.

Thanks to those who lent advice and especially Ron C.

Damm Jim, good news and bad news. I was wondering how it went yesterday. Is it time for a superglide or are we thinking lenco now? Jack was over yesterday with a starter mount / blower belt guard, to mount on the snout of the blower.Going to use his old starter, it's a old aircraft starter deal. Nostalgia stuff here we come.Sorry to hear about your problems, happy to hear it went down the track, or at least half track.
