Etterman Racing Premiere at No Problem Raceway Park

Belle Rose, LA – Regardless of their new formation to become the Etterman Racing, Inc. as we know it today, the off-season could not end soon enough for Team Owner George Etterman and Driver Jonathan Johnson, as well as the rest of the Bar’s Leaks Top Alcohol Funny Car Crew.

The team’s six month ‘lull’ from racing comes to a close in a few short days, as the Bar’s Leaks Stratus will re-emerge at the Division 4 Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series Opener March 3–5 at No Problem Raceway Park in Belle Rose, Louisiana with Johnson behind the wheel. The team plans to shake off the dust in the Thursday Testing Sessions and anticipates many excellent runs.

George explains, “We are going to test on Thursday and by the time of our first qualifying session Friday evening, we should all be on our game. Jane and I are ready for the season to get rolling, and David, Genie and Dickie are all excited about the new adventure of having Jonathan in the seat. It should be a fun weekend to start the year.”

Johnson, a 23-year old Beaumont, Texas native, came onboard with Etterman Racing a few short months ago and the team remains very excited about new possibilities and memories in their future.

“Speaking for myself and the rest of the crew, the Division 4 Opener could not arrive fast enough. During my time off, I attended several races hoping that would satisfy my ‘itch’ to go racing; however, this made the wait even harder,” Jonathan proclaims. “With great track conditions, No Problem Raceway Park always has been a favorite track of mine, and I am eager to start my 2006 Season in Belle Rose, especially with Etterman Racing,” Johnson concludes.
As well as their returning sponsor, Bar’s Leaks, Etterman Racing snagged several other marketing partners for their upcoming 2006 racing season.
