Does anyone have an opinion or experience with Dart Heads on a KB Hemi. I am very new to the Blown Alky deal and looking for a complete engine. One of the engines I have found has Dart Heads with 2.4 intakes and 1.9 exhaust. Most of the KB guys around here run BA and Veney Heads.

Horsepower, Reliability, Rocker Assembly, etc. info is what I'm looking for.

    Thanks,

    Keith Goolsby

Thanks for the info. I couldn't find the Dart hemi heads on their website so that's why I posted.

I've got a Pro Mod 55 Chevy with a Bruno/Lenco 3 speed. The previous owner ran 6.80's with a Blown BB. That would be in the top half locally but not win too often. That's the reason I want to go with a Hemi. Most of the local fast guys are running 4.20's in the 1/8 and 6.40's in the 1/4.

Since I don't even have a spark plug yet I can go just about any direction with the power situation. Any suggestions?

If anyone has a nice piece out there for sale, you can email me at keith@superlifts.com.

I'm trying to ask alot of questions and get the best advise before purchasing. I've been watching this site for a while and it seems like the right place to look.

    Thanks,

Hey Keith - I went through the same procedure for the 2006 season - tried to get a quick education last fall on the hemi stuff. I went with old fuel stuff - KB stage 10 block - .100" tall with the large cam journals and 3" mains. I plan on writing a play-by-play account on our switch from BBC to hemi sometime soon. This season has been great on parts! I went with the real heavy duty stuff as we needed reliability over E.T. I am also for lower lift cams and a little less compression to keep things together - lower RPM overall. Gimme' a call at my office 515-727-1444 if you want all of the details...

Bringing this back up to the top.

I was at a friends house today and he showed me some old Dart heads.

Info I have as of right now.

2 - complete almost pristine (very low hours) Old style water Dart Hemi heads. LOL seat pressure on the springs is in the 275lbs area. Theses are serious heads.

A third head same style but has damage, I did not see it so I do not know how damaged it is.

Anyone have interest please post. I think I know about how much he wants to get out of them. Shoot me a figure and I will pass it along.
    Location is in Minnesota.
