clutch return spring

    Need a clutch return spring in tight quarters.Would a spring that pulls the pedal back to a neutral position or would one that pushes to a neutral position have any advantage.
    ( I got my clutch stop-$19.94).

    I've only seen pull springs. I wonder if a push would work, or if it legal.
