i may have found myself a set of new aluminum rods[GRP]i'll know more tomorrow if they are what i can use;;everyone says i need to upgrade on rod bolts to the L-19's for insurance..if these rods have the ARP2000'S has they come standard on all GRP'S...can i just change the bolts out to the L-19'S without resizing rods?i know on steel rods[espicaly used steel rods]if you change bolts you have to have them resized BUT don't know about aluminum rods..

    thanks

Call Brian or Joe at GRP and ask them they are very informative and even more helpful.

    rod bolts

If you have a dial bore gauge, you could check them before and after for roundness and size, If not just get the bolts and give them to your machinist to do. But I don't really think you need them.for what you want to do. but if it helps you sleep at night, go for it. Don.

    rods

Sounds like a good deal. Just leave them alone. Check them with a stretch gauge and keep a record. Good Luck don
