Brent Henry signed on as driver for 2006…

Moore, OKL - Conway Automotive and Sooner One Motorsports have announced a partnership for the 2006 NHRA season bringing the Sooner One A/Fuel dragster under the tune of Tom Conway and bringing in Brent Henry to pilot the machine. Sooner One Motorsports car owner’s, Mike Taylor and Tippy Pierce, are thrilled to be working with Conway as their tuner and as a second team car. “2006 is going to be a very interesting year for our entire racing program,” said Taylor. “The other incredible news is that we’re bringing in Brent Henry as our driver for the new season.” Brent has been involved in drag racing virtually his entire life with his father having been a crew chief for a small Top Fuel team for a number of years, so Brent’s been around nitro a long time. “With Brent’s incredible racing background and his enthusiasm to win, we’re no doubt going to have a good season.”

Henry is equally excited about being apart of this new team. “I weighed all of my options carefully before deciding what team would be the best fit for me in order to compete competitively in the 2006 NHRA Top Alcohol Dragster category, and I couldn’t be more thrilled to be working with Mike and Tippy and having Tom tune our car.” “We will definitely be a team to be reckoned with and we’re going for nothing short of a divisional and national championship.” Henry went on to state that the next several weeks will be busy getting the controls in the car set up for him and having both the transport semi and race car lettered with the sponsors that he will be bringing.
