    Hi guys
Been reading this forum for a while and been learning a lot. I have a problem that maybe some engine builders could help with.
I had a billet CNC ally block made for my blown alky Toyota 4.7 quad cam V8, and after we put the sleeves in, the engine shop went to hone the bores. They said the gap between the bottom of the sleeve and the landing was 5mm - their hone requires 10 - 12mm.
What I want to know is that the case with all hones?
I can slip it back in the CNC machine and take the extra material out, but that is an excercise. Someone suggested banging the sleeves back out a little, honing, then banging them back - but that sounds a little rough to me.
    Any thoughts?
    Regards PC
