Best block for 526 hemi?

    What block is the most common for building a 526 hemi with venny or brad heads? Is there an problem using std deck,cam and lifter location? Thanks

    I use kB as for std deck and cam.....welllll I did use that combo but now only use it for our spares..went to a std deck raised cam love it, no more clearance problems and you don't have to have the rods cut to clear the block...Dave

    What do you run for heads. I have been hearing that you would have pushrod problems if you use any of the later billet heads. Is there any other advantages to the raised cam other than the rod clearence issue? Thanks

    I run the Brad fuel heads..and the raised cam deal has given me better push rod clearences..Dave
