I understand the basic theory that its to split the air into two equal channels for each rotor in the blower but has anyone got any more detailed theory, examples of different designs and whether they make any credible difference to ETs/mph and how they may effect tuning

anyone knowledgeable of injection/intakes? maybe Mike Canter?

    thanks

I'm no expert, but what I was told is that it wasn't just to divide the air - it was to get rid of or minimize the air turbulance between the rotors. We've got a Quad-Star hat on our roots TAFC and it has the built-in divider, we haven't had any issues with it, but didn't see much if any increase of power with it.
