Electronic lean out based on either time or a trigger attached to 2nd gear?

    NO or NC

It's hard to tell exactly what you mean from the way you described it, but if you want to pull a gallon out from the 1-2 shift to the 2-3 shift, then put the gallon back in it.

To do that, run a Normally Closed valve (See the post in the classifieds about that), hooked to the 1-2 shift button, with a jet holder plumbed in. I'm just pulling this off the top of my head, but I think 1 gallon is around a 65 jet, I'm sure someone can correct me. When you shift to 2nd, it will open this NC valve. Behind this valve, run a Normally Open valve hooked to the 2-3 shift. When you hit 3rd or high (don't know if you're talking about 3 or 4 speed), it will close the Normally Open valve, putting the fuel back in the motor.

If you're talking about taking a gallon out in low gear, you just run a Normally Open valve hooked to the 1-2 shift, when you shift, it closes the circuit. This is usually referred to as a low gear leanout. Typically with a NO circuit leanout, a idle check is put in the system to keep the jet from flowing at idle. Also keep in mind if you put the check after the jet, it may not flow as much as if the check is in front of the jet.

    Hope that helps.

    pulling fuel

    Will,

Sound slike what I was looking for. It is for a 3 speed lenco. I was told to pull a pound of fuel out between the 1st and second gear change and then put the fuel back in the motor. Sound right?

    Thanks!

If you are going to want to pull out one GPM at shift and then put it back in after the shift will required a timer like a Digi-Set and a Hobbs Switch and and electronics solenoid. The only reason you would want to pull out fuel at the shift is if the driveshaft spike is two high. I would run the car without this and see what happens.

    Fuel

Probably The Easiest, And Nicer Ways Is A Electronic Timer- A Lahey Box And A Management System. Take Fuel Add Fuel Drink Fuel Spill Fuel Whatever You Want To Do With It Based Off Time From When You Let The Clutch Out
