Alan Johnson heads

i know that right now BAE has 95% of the heads in the alky classes, the other 5% goes to Veney and Sanchez. has anyone ever ran Alan Johnson hemi heads on alky with any success with a roots blower? if so, i would love to talk with you about it.

Are you refering to the muscle heads that AJ now sells for alcohol or the fuel heads . I don't have either but you might get a better response if you specify .

 

Leon and Dave Oenes in Denver are running them and a 14-71 HH on a realy nice Blown Alky dragster, runs TD and fast 16. Seems to like them! He a great guy, seems pretty knowledgeable. Reluctant to give his contact info without his ok, maybe he'll see your post and add to it.

 

i was referring to the fuel heads.........NOT the muscle heads

What et are u looking for?? my junk with AJ stage II fuel heads and roots blower with very mild tune up @3200# runs in the .40s in the 1/8 in a door car.

 

honestly, we are just looking to update to something that is compatible with what we have. we run the old dart fuel stuff now, and they were used up when we got them. i don't have the $$ to change anything but the heads and manifold. it would cost me 15k to go to a BAE, or Veney deal.........i don't have it. i am pretty confident that our car will run 6.20's with the parts we have. we went a 6.40 shifting at 8000, and shutting down early 187 mph, we were running a 6.50 index deal. i think everyone wants that 5 second time slip. maybe i can steal some of that yellow fuel from my buddy Rapid.
