msd kill switch relay # 8134

    what is the best switch to use with the msd kill switch relay# 8134,can this relay be bought anywhere else besides msd,how about napa?,have any part numbers to cross? thanks!

    No you cannot use the NAPA 85 amp relay. The MSD solenoid has a tremendous amount of insulation around all the contacts inside and outside to stop things from arcing over. We use the MSD solenoid and have never had any problems. You can use and kind of toggle switch you want to control it. We use a red covered aircraft type of toggle switch. The switch has to supply 12 vols to the relay for the motor to run. The only real problem i9n using the switch is that you have to have a 12 volt battery. Not all funny cars use batteries that can take that drain. Most are just small batteies for the data logger.

    Yep We Used A 16 Volt Turbostart With It.no Problems.
    What Is Everyone Using For A Battery Just To Run A Racepak 300 With The Digital Dash?
