    hi all
from experience and/or knowledge, could someone tell me what the optimum rpm should be on a standard helix 8.71 blower?
    (seals are in good shape)
i'm rebuilding an engine(6500-7000 max engine rpm)and having my fuel system recalculated,so i need that info to set the overdrive.
thanks in advance for any infos

Tell us more about your blower.
    What brand?
What does the outlet and inlet look like?
    About how old?

    this is a khul blower,that i purchased in 2011 from a parts seller,used.
the top opening matches a bug catcher hat opening, the bottom one is a "standard" rectangular opening.
i only had the chance to run this blower in 1 1/2 pass in my previous engine (blown alky 413 wedge) before carnage occured in the bottom end of engine.
at the time it was ran at 22% OD with nozzles in the hat only, engine had a 9.7 CR.
that's about all i know about it...
by the way:i was told that a freshly restripped blower could not be turned by hand:true or false?
