Does anyone have any experience with a blown alcohol small block? I'm building an engine for a class car, that has to run the 1/8th at 3,000 lbs on a 10.5 tire

I'm limited to an 871 and I have a kobelco superman high helix

Can a 410 cubic inch small block with ajpe billet heads make close to 1800hp with an 871 high helix?

Does anyone have any suggestions on compression and cam?

Any help would be much appreciated.

yearssssssssssss ago we ran a small block I think!!a 415 in a dragster we would run 6.40 in yhe 1/4 but I might add it was a money pit..1800 hp would take a bunch of $$$ to make that hp and make it live.Dave

We ran a SBC w/ a 10-71 high helix in the late 90's. This setup had no modern (today's standards) technology on it and was fairly reliable. The car would run low 3.90's back then. If I was to do a SBC today I'd use the AJPE Heads and a CN block. The internals you can pick and choose but obviously going with the upper echelon manufacturers is a good choice.
