Im sure someone has asked this before, but what i have is a MSD 44 and a 8973 digital programable box! I have always just run it on the mag but i am now putting a Leahy crank trigger on. My question is inside the 8973 settings there is MAG-COMP. I have always ran it in "0" for no tirigger, what number does that need to be set to now with the Leahy Trigger? What does it do if it is set on the wrong setting?

Mike, i guess the early version of the 8973 had 2 options, auto and trigger, at least according to MSD lol. My box has the option of 0,1,2,3,4,5! I called leahy and he said he wasnt even sure what to do! Rumor has it if you start the motor and bring up the rpm slowly, if it moves 2 degrees with the timing light then you would set your box at 2! Start it again, repeat the process and it should stay where you set it initally. Anyone heardnof thia process before? I obviously havent tried anything yet.

We need to check and make sure we are talking the same. I have version 3.19 of Pro-Data Graphview. I have opened 8973V06 file. Went to MagComp. I still have DegAUTO if I use the up arrow on the slide in the window. You should use DegAuto according to MSD
