have some clevite v series rod bearings showing a flaking off of the material on the backside of the upper rod bearing. havent seen this before, and this engine never did this with a weak tune up. now leaning on it harder, it has started this. anybody seen this before? it is a blown alky hemi roots.aluminum rods. doesnt seem to be overheated and is not squished out by more than .001. has good oil pressure and such.it is all the rods, not just 1. here are 4 pictures of them. http://s918.photobucket.com/albums/ad26/nitrobandit1/HEMI ENGINE BEARINGS/ click on the picture and it will get bigger. 8585694904, or nitrobandit1@yahoo.com .

I talked with Bill McKnight from Clevite and he wants to see the bearings. You can ship them to:
    Mahle Clevite Inc.,
    1240 Eisonhower Place
    Ann Arbor MI
    48108-3282

    Attn: Bill McKnight
