Have you ever noticed that there are folks on here who use their real names and others who use screennames. I know there are lots of guys on here that if I ran across them at a race track or the PRI show I would love to say hi to but can't because of their aliases. Don't be afraid to use your real name. I think it's the polite thing to do. Dave Germain

I think everyone should use their real name, if they want a nick name they can display that too. Keeps everyone more accountable for what they say.

if i remember correctly, will put a post on all 3 of his boards that stated everyone had to use their real names so that they would be more accountable for what they said. i think this is the way it should be.

I use my real name and people still wonder who the hell I am :D
Its funny when you mention accountability though.
While I was working on John Pattons car in '06 I made some comments in the tech section. Nothing derrogatory, spiteful, uninformed or anything like that. A well known crew chief ( and apparent lurker ) read what I said and gave Patton an earful about it. The last time I checked I am a grown adult. If I say something here or on any msg board I would expect that if someone had an issue with it that they would come to me and discuss it. Well aparently because I wasnt a. a car owner, b. a driver or c. a crew chief I had no business talking about anything in the tech section because I was just a crew member. Uh excuse me, there are no stipulations anywere on this board when you sign up that limits you to what you can and cant talk about. Sure if you are uninformed about a subject ya might sound like a jack ass but it doesnt stop you from putting it out there.
Sure accountability is good but only if you hold the correct person to it
    Sorry for the rant/
    Thanks for the space Will!

I tried to change my screen name a while back, but I can't!
I'm Ingrid Griffin. My boyfriend is nothing but a drag racer - so if we haven't met, I look forward to it.

    Mitch,

Lurking is simply reading the posts on the threads and not responding to them. Kinda like lurking in the shadows :) Glad to hear things are coming along with the car. Say hi to your better half for me :D
