Need some suggestions. Have taken over the engine program on a BBC 600 CI 14-71 high Helix Street Outlaw program that gets after it pretty good. They had H series main bearings in it and it was hurt. Trying to get a .010 under V main bearing and everyone is saying it's no longer available. What would be a good alternative????......THANKS Ron Clevenger

Can't comment on an alternative, but have you figured out why it was "hurt" in the first place?

In the process of that. Suspect a couple of mechanical issues. But also lots of showmanship in this kind of racing. Cold oil long burn outs certainly an issue and will be addressed. Personally I have had no issues on my blown BBC using the H series. But I run a crank driven gear drive on my F3-139 ProCharger and heat the oil.

If you can't source an under sized "V", how about coating the "H" bearings that are available for an extra layer of protection ?

I was pondering that very same thing as my day was going. They are available.

Or maybe fix the crank and bring it back to standard?
