i have a front engine dragster. where would be optimum place to install the g-meter sensor or would it matter? i have my logger dash in front of motor, was thinking of putting it there next to that; it would be mid chassis. i'd imagine it probably wouldnt matter much since just concerned with forward motion?

    thank you

dash in front of your engine?

i would have thought you would have this in an easyish reach of you when strapped in and in cockpit nearer steering wheel in front of YOU.

g meter anywhere. its measures your forward motion. i.e. acceleration

They are directional, make sure you follow the mounting instructions.

cant read/see the dash when your going down that track. all i care about is shift light and oil light. ill have oil pressure on motor to see as last check. in front of the motor out of the way make it easy for the tunner/helper (not my motor) to read etc. instead of trying to pear over the tire or from behind. he can look at when it starts, warmups, look at after backing up and staging etc is my thought. instead of asking me questions for hand signals to relay what is on the dash he can just look at himself right there in front of him.

    thank you for the response.

This. I had a multi axis one die one time in the x position so I repositioned it so that the y would measure x forces instead of buying a new one. We really are only worried about straight line acceleration not so much side to side g’s but that info can come in handy in certain situations.
