    Anyone have any data on what a 30 to 50 pound weight loss will do to the et of a sub 4 second ( 1/8 mile ) car ?

    If weight change doesn't affect traction etc. will change about 1 100th of sec. per 10 lbs. Weight loss many times can be the cheapest and easiest way to go faster.

    In a 1000 hp car .01 is the normal but In a 3000hp car I find that hard to believe I have always wondered the same thing jody. I think it's more like .01 for every 20 lbs. So El General still going too kick there ass lol

    I have no scientific data, but I think 100 lbs is worth roughly .05 in the 1/8. Maybe more once the tune up is optimized for the lighter weight, as it's easier to accelerate a lighter car without getting into shake/spin. I think it's worth .07 in 1/4.
