    Hi,

I was putting my motor together today and realized that my ol Total flow heads have the inserts for the larger head studs and my BAE block has the smaller studs on the bottom row so when I torque them it starts to pull the stud off to one side. Can I just put a washer under them or is there another solution to this problem?

    Thanks,

    head washers

we did it for 2 years with veney heads

not saying its correct but it worked for us

you would need to use a thick and correct size washer oil both sides and it will keep stud from moving

    Heads

    Hi

The one head is at Total flow right now but I am flat broke for a month or two and do not want to pull the other head back off the motor and ship it out. Honestly it has taken me 18 years to put the car into the final assembly stage and I am burned out so I just don't have the energy to pull it back apart and I can't afford shipping right now either.

I think I may try the washers.

    Thanks guys,
    Trev
