It's official .... PDRA is, with the support of Powershield coatings, a div of Toefco, adding Pro Open Outlaw to the 2015 line up. There will be five races contested this year.... Rockingham , Martin Mi , Maryland , Galot Motorsports park and VIR. 3000.00 to win, 1500.00 RU , 750.00 semis, and first round loser gets 500.00. Rules are simple: small block 1700lbs , big block 1900lbs. 14/71 roots blowers , centrifugal blowers, NOS and turbos (88mm max). Open to rear engine dragsters , Front engine dragsters, and altered's. So if you have an old IHRA funny car yank the body off make it an altered and come race. No Nitro allowed and whellie bars mandatory. Should be a great class. Look on PDRA 660. Com for all the details.

So can I have 2 turbos feeding a 14-71 with NOS injection to the manifold in this new POO class? Shooting for a 3.20 1/8th... 250 MPH

Hahaha smart ass !!! Why are rainbows so pretty, why are hot dogs 8 to a pack and buns 10 to a pack? These rules are the rules for this class. Every class has its own rules, these are theirs.

I am a little unclear here....clutches are legal in EVERYTHING except rear engine dragsters? So I can run my altered with a clutch? My buddy can put an altered body on his roots legal TA/FC and be legal?
    Thanks,
    Darren

Darren when I read the rules on their website it says transmissions must be automatics so it looks like you are excluded like me. Hopefully at some point they open up the rules and let clutches run since it is quote an open outlaw class and all the other classes in PDRA have the freedom to choose between an auto and a clutch. If they don't let your altered run come have some fun with us at Thompson this year, their Asphalt War races are a good time and you can run your clutch in that series.

Hey Darren, Glenn here. How's it going up there? I believe you can run a front engine with a clutch. Did you see Edgewater has been leased to 2 racers? They have big plans for all sort of stuff. Might be able to run some heads up down here also. I finally got the twins going on my dragster, but they're 94MM. Can't run PDRA OUTLAW. Good luck with the Altered!

Sorry Darren, I thought front engine could run with clutch. Maybe I'll see you at the EDGE sometime.

Glenn..... We will be there. You know, I still don't understand the altered/clutch deal.... It has always been legal in T/D. I just don't see the problem...everyone knows altereds aren't as fast as dragsters anyway....most are heavier than the dragsters too. Oh well
