ok, eli got my interest up since ive never heard of this new one, but besides mostly everybody slamming this thing like its the old straight rotor design, I gotta say he has some pretty quick customers out there with nothing but good things to say. not many have bought this yet, but the ones that have seem pleased. anybody who has one now, what do you think about this blower? looking to compare it to say a nice 14-71 psi hi helix 1.5 setback rotor blower with erd inlet. is it possible this could even perform as well? they advertise all the same things, lower inlet temp, more boost, etc. anybody got some info? andy if your out there would like to hear your inputs. everybody else go easy on me, just looking for info, not a education on how stupid I am! thanks ita ! http://www.hamptonblowers.com/PRICE.HTML

    2 lobe

Hampton guaranteed it would outperform any blower it's size. That's a tall order...

There's a lot of science in the fastest roots blowers and 8500.00 most likely is not going to cover the costs to build one.

First, it's the simplicity of the blower that makes it work, the magic is in the size ( there big )and twist of the rooters, An 8/71 Hampton, will put out more boost than a 14/71 stripped, without all the heat. it's like having a intercooler with out the restriction,
I tuned a K boat (Thats a 18 ft. Flat bottom boat) with one of these blowers, With a stripped blower, we ran 10 % over, when i put the Hampton 2 lobe on it at 10% the boat coulden handel the power that it made, So i had to run it 2% under. and it ran faster than the stripped one, but it still made to much power, the driver had to learn how to drive the boatt all over again, He had to ease into the troddel, if he just hamerd it it would stand up like a car doing a wheelie,i didn't get to work with it to much after that cuz ther weren't enough boats in the class, so the owner parked it.

P/S It's not the boost it's the heat that makes a differance.
The 2 lobe dosen't make that much heat.

I dont thinkk so the case looks like a a standerd 8/71
When i say big I mean the lobes are big in size, not diameter
as ther are only 2 lobes they have to be bigger to take up the space inside.
I'll see if i can measer them.
Or some one can call Don.
Is the 5.800 the leagel size?n id say with out looking there 2. to 2.6
    At a min.

    blower

I am curious about this. The claim that it will out preform any blower its size is indeed a very tall order.

If this blower is so good how come all the outlaw guys don't run it? To be honest i find it a little hard to believe. But i have been wrong before.

Does anyone have some real world numbers on this thing?

    2 lobe rotor

With only 2 lobes I would think there is more volume for air so the displacement per revolution should be more.

The guys I know that run the 6-71's two lobe end up turning them faster than the previous 3 lobe blowers they were running ------Blown Alky ---

Thats true with DRAG CARS thers no heat so you can run it as high as rules let you,
In a flat bottom Bottom boat it cant handel the extra power, un less you get it going real fast, but in the turns it's killer, It will stand the boat on it tail and posabley flip it end over end, That blower makes some awsome power, mabe it will work on a drag boat tunnel hull.
