im setting up my new bird. i have the blades at .012, now heres my question....i have the dual gauge leaker with psi on the left gauge and percentage on the right. the right gauge reads 100 percent all the way left and 0 percent on the right. i set the left gauge to 100 psi. with the throttle wide open it reads 98 percent or so on the right and still 100 psi on the left gauge. with it closed i set it to read 30 percent on the right gauge. that should be 70% return fuel correct? this should get me started up on my 8-71 555 shouldnt it?
    thanks in advance

the good vibe video is closed due to copyright infringement, im looking for start up settings not how to do it. the confusion comes in on the types of leakers. worst case scenario, if im backwards, which i dont think i am...it wont run when you take the bottle away.

now im fighting with myself, i think i may be backwards as the right gauge reads cylinder leakage

The percent meter should read 70%.

    barrel valve setting

with the air connected to the leak down tester set the right gauge to just on the zero,if you adjust the knob either way it should be sensitive enough to move the gauge needle alittle, connect the hose to the barrel valve and right gauge should read 70-75%.If it isnt adjust as required and then recheck that leakdown increases as you open the throttle.

were gonna fire it with 70 percent leakage on my right gauge and 12 in the butterflies, i backtracked and reversed my previous position. when i got the blower it was set up at 60 percent leakage. thinking back the blower came from high altitude so the 60 percent makes sense now.(i was backwards) i enriched it to 70 percent as i run at sea level. worst case now is it runs you out of the trailer when we start it....but its just alcohol, thats no issue for a former fuel guy, lol, i should be able to stand there long enough to lean her out if need be. theres nothing in this world i hate more than a surging supercharger.

I set the notch or timing mark on the spool shaft to about the 1 oclock position and give it what the motor likes it. If it hesitates flashing the throttle then faten it up until it don't hesitate & faten it up 2 more flats & tune on it from there. This has worked for us on the cube and the k. If there's no marking on the spline end of the shaft then for sure leak it. But at the end of the day it's what the engine want's. The leak deal is just a starting point. If it surges give it more air and readjust the bv JMHO Craig
