What is the finish on these Stage V valve covers?

I've been to the Stage V website, and they only show chrome or black. These are smooth, and don't say Stage V anywhere except the inside, where it is cast in raised letters. They have a goldish color to them. Mine have some wear and marks on the outside, and I'd like to make them a little prettier. Do any of you guys know what this gold stuff is?

most likely those are mag covers, with a Dow 7 coating on them. you can use almost anything to clean them. we like a spray on wax, some like WD-40. there was a thread on here a while back about Dow-7 coatings and cleaning.

C'mon, these things are just like supermodels. They spend over 99% of their life just sittin' still gettin' their picture taken, and bein' high maintenance, and less than 1% actually doing anything! Pretty is important!
