    but wait.... there's more

    from competition plus

Funny Car racer John Force has been fined $10,000 by the NHRA for an incident involving physical contact with an NHRA official on Monday, Sept. 7 during the Mac Tools U.S. Nationals presented by Lucas Oil at O’Reilly Raceway Park at Indianapolis.

Videotape from the event showed Force making physical contact with an NHRA official at the top end of the race track during a confrontation with fellow Funny Car driver Tony Pedregon. Such physical contact violates the Participant Conduct policy as stated in the 2009 NHRA Rulebook. The fine, which can be appealed by Force, must be paid in full prior to participation at any future NHRA event.

    hmmmmm

    Force

What John did was no worse than any bracket racer "Sandbagging" except he was doing it against point system.....instead of the timing system.. Anybody that can honestely say that in the same position would not do the same thing may be "honest" but they are also a damn fool:eek: He is a professional racer. he made a business desision. I think thats why he is John Force and we are not.......... Yet!:D

I read Wolfs column, and I must say it just goes to show you there are people in the press that really know whats going on, and tell it like it is, Oh, and Tony is an ungrateful little ( and I men short) creep.

Funny how all the teams or people who pointed the cheating finger, all have proven (manipulation) involvement in the past.

I remember WJ racing Kurt a couple years back in car camera, WJ miss a gear and throws his hands up like ohhhhh nooo that broke shaking his head. Kurt benefited from that win, cant remember all the details.

A good point if Tony raised a stink he had nothing to loose.

I think this whole thing is great Publicity to get more people to watch. Money pays the bills!!!!!
    No money no racing.

    absolutely right

I never thought I would be agreeing with Whit Bazemore, but he is absolutely correct. NHRA should not have rules they choose not to (or as in this case, cannot) enforce. Eliminate the rule, realize that in the few instances that come up this is going to happen and get on with it. He is right that it is the coverup that makes the sport look bad, and the silly uneforcable rule is what makes the coverup nessacary. Anyone else would do the same thing and you would be a fool not too.

I wonder if the Pedregon Sisters have read either of these articles and what they have to say now that everyone has been reminded of thier less than admirable past?

    Bottom Line

The bottom line is everybody knows the race was thrown, and John should have just said it was a business decision.

While we are bitching about John Force and the alledged cheating (LMAO) why dont somebody make a rule, that nobody will enforce, (again) that if you stop on the track and delay the race (so your next team car has time to make adjustments) that you are fined or suspended for a couple of races. Like say after the 4 time you stop on the track a season. Sort of like oil downs. Witt said John is such a super driver surly he and his team mates can coast off the track like the rest of the feild.

Watch ESPN oh wait a second we are not talkin about girls ice fishing. LOL John Force racing has been doing it for at least the last 2 years. Any time one of there cars in on the track and one is up next the one that just ran stop's on the track and gets towed off. This gives the crew back at the line an extra couple moments to change things on there car. Just watch its very obvious.
