Finished sleeve size?

    Having a nightmare trying to get sleeves finish installed to 4.310. Machine shop want to hone once installed but If they come at 4.310 they will be oversize after hone?. Do you just install them and not worry about finish hone? Surely they will be out of round slightly? Confused?Thx for any advice.

    Really depends whether the sleeves are a tight interference fit in the block or not. Most are made to be replaced easily at the track without resizing.
    The final bore size will be to suit the pistons and their clearance requirements.

    Heat the block to 140 degrees, and they will fall in.
    When you warm the engine up at the track, the block will move away from the sleeves, and they will go back to round.
