I have an TBS 8.71 that was on my car when I broke a rod (steel).
Piston and pin disintegrated and I found pieces inside blower above the rotors which scarred the case and rotors.
My question is, can the case be bored and oversize rotors be had?
Any other options to repair short of junk it and buy another?

I haven't taken it apart so I don't know how extensive the damage is other than I can see several nice scars.

    Thanks

I would call TBS and talk to them about it.

FYI.. Talked to Glenn at TBS. Rotors are cut for nylatron or teflon. Each has a different profile.
Blower case can be repaired but at the expense of sending it out to have hard anodize removed prior to welding, then machining and re hard anodize. He said it wouldn't be cheap..lol
As far as honing, he said just enough to knock the high spots down.
Info in case anyone is interested.
