I recieved this quote or saying in a box of rods we ordered from Bill Miller Eng. years ago. I spoke with Bill about it and found out it is a quote from a former president of the United States. Also found out they do not include this message in there orders. He said he had know idea how this message was included in a parts shipment.
The moral of the story is (Never Give Up)

Its funny how sometimes things are put in front of you that kinda ties everything together and puts you back on the path. These words of wisdom came to you in a box of rods, they came to me via this message board. Thanks for posting, you don't know how much it helped.

i got the same message in a box of bme rods years ago. hung it on the shop wall, it's still there. no such thing as a quitter in drag racing. if you aren't persistent you could never survive in our sport. good message to all!

 

One of my favorites is: "Real Winners Are Ordinary People With Extraordinary Determination"
Not sure of the author, but I think it speaks to our sport as well.
