I have a BBC blower intake I believe made by Wizard in Pa. years ago, 70's???
It's a tunnel ram cut up and made into a blower manifold.
The problem I have is there is no valley cover with the intake.
With the intake mounted, the cam and lifters are exposed.
    I was told a valley cover from a Rodeck 481T might/will work.
Anyone have any knowledge about the intake or if the Rodeck valley cover would work?

If someone would E-mail me I can send a picture to post up. Sorry, I dont know how to post pics.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!!!

    Be good, Jim

    manifold

The manifold was made by Nick Boninfante we ran one on Rodack blocks that had valley covers you would have to cut ends of the block to make it fit if you have a cast block. Mike

    Thanks Mike.

I Googled the name Nick Boninfante and came up with a E-mail address. Just sent a message to them asking for help or advice.
Sounds like the intake is more trouble than I want to deal with. A BDS type intake would just bolt on and go.

    manifold

The valley plate was an option on the rodack it came three piece with o-ring or solid the manifold was to fit the rodack but if your a good machinist you can make it work on any block. Mike

Recieved a message back from Nick Bonifante....

    Jim:

According to Nick, Sr. it looks like 90% is a Wizard manifold. It is heavily welded on and modified. To make it work, just make valley plate out of flat alum plate. It should work on all blocks with some or no modifying.

Sounds like Nick Sr. did not make it.
I did contact Wizard down in texas and they said this manifold was not made by them.

So, who and where was Wizard???????

I wonder if the "heavily welded" intake is a prototype. I remember Fred Mandoline telling me he had 90+ hours in the original intake.

Hi Jim, Still no luck on the mystery manifold

I have pics and I'll claim making it if no one else wants to...kidding of coarse.

It's a nice piece Jim, I would run it. I still think the cheapest way would be to have a plate made, Any good shop can do it, Alan Johnsons could probably do it or Rob Atchisons shop in Canada, Mike Janis of Jan-Cen would be a good one or Darren Mayer at DMPE. Jim Oddy as well. It would be a quality piece from any of them. Hell even Indy might be able to help. If your down here near Indy I would say Rooman (Keith Bergan) He's very crafty and between him and ARC next door he could make one with no problems. At one point he even drove a jet engine outhouse.....seriously.

Anything I can do further to help let me know.
    Trevor Sherwood

P.S. If I get my mill up and running I could make you one but I don't think that will happen before I deploy again to Iraqistan.
