I guess this debate should start now, as the day will soon come that we see a race without a blown alky car in the field.

Not that soon though...Indy's track has had some trouble throughout this year...The division 3 race had the A-Fuel cars stuggling to go in the 50's...We'll see in a couple weeks..Good Luck to all

I really don't think you can count out Marty Thacker or David Wells would say Cannon but he when A/Fuel. They might not be # 1 but if they dont have any trouble will be in the show

4 or 5 of the following will qualify at Indy this year: Wells, Thacker, Wilson, Haley, Perry, Federlin, Kosky, Hudson, and Kelly.

I'll put money on at least 7 BAD's qualifying. Any takers.

Come on Kim, stop with all that silly talk.

As long as half the cars are BAD's, and half are AFD's, everything is cool, right?!?!?! ;) ;) ;)

Good luck, and have a great time!

I think NHRA's "Encouraging" the Blown guys to switch so they won't have to worry about the parity issue anymore. Otherwise they would be more pro-active on rule changes.

    robert,

i don't know if you know or not, but i'm crew chief on jason cannon's car. as editor of this site, i have to put my objective non biased hat on sometimes. on the main site when i do my hot pix, i make my picks objectively. when i'm on the message board, which is much more informal, of course i'm going to pick us to win. thats the only reason i go to the racetrack, to win.

with that being said, thats why we went a/fuel. we had one of the top running blown cars in the country, and kept on hoping just to get a break. we did get a few breaks and ran good enough that when the a/fuelers fell off a tenth or so, we could beat them.

what it boils down to is if you make a near perfect run in a blown car you can get loaded up by a half ass a/fuel run, much less a good a/fuel run. so i dont know where the you get this anyone can win on sunday. theoretically you can win the lotto everytime too.

I don't care which kind of car you like, but clean up your mouth. It shows your IQ.

Robert I hope your right, but the numbers speak for themselves! It takes a Bad tune-up on an A-Fuel car for a blown car to win, unless Marty and Company Run their quickest ET ever!
