Wow. what a run. the incrementals were crazy. 48 degrees outside didn't hurt anything, but impressive run considering the altitude in Tucson.

See what the Ynot team does in Vegas.

I'm excited to see what Perry and Thacker can go this weekend. A .31 in Tucson is stout! Isn't it ironic that when an AFD runs in the low 30's, there is hardly a mention of it? Does that scream parody or parity?

The conditions were pretty good and the track was not bad in the right lane. .889 in 60 ft is our best so far. Can't wait until Vagas!

Great run for sure by the Whiteley Team, but I agree...the year is still before us. It'll be interesting to see what the Severance Team can do with the balance of the year. That 5.322 pass at Pomona was done with the blower pulley teeth starting to shred at 1000'. Hope they have the budget to show there stuff this year.
    Blessings..........Ron Clevenger.

Imagine what Norm Grimes could do with a "C" Blower?

    Track Record?

"Whiteley and his ‘YNot Racing’ team reset both ends of the track record in his final round defeat of Cody Perkins."

Will, I just read your story on the front page. Are you sure Jim set either end of the track record?

    4 Duane Shields
    ****WINNER**** 0.092 5.293 278.69
    Prior rounds:
    0.115 5.376 277.89
    0.127 5.240 278.52
    Qualified: #1 5.289 268.17

5:04 p.m. Weather conditions: air temperature 78 degrees, relative humidity 2 percent, barometer 26.87 inches, adjusted altitude 5,010 feet, track temperature 101 degrees.
Miersch gets Shields a look at the back of his A/FD until mid-track and then the candles start getting blown out. Too many wet pipes gives the easy win to a very strong Shields. That's three five twenties this weekend!

Why would that help? Don't most of the AFD guys/girls "think" that there is parity between the two combos?

    Let the Rhinos run wild!!

I'm wondering what The Ice Mans incrementals were on that final in Gainesville before it blew up @ 1000 feet.

According to DRC, Perry was ahead by .07 at 1000' before his motor popped!

    incrementals

Was curious to see the incrementals myself.

    Finke's incremental margins (negative if behind): 60ft(-0.040), 330 ft(-0.142), 660ft(-0.069), 1,000ft(-0.072). MOV: 0.1934 seconds (approximately 52 feet).

With Perry having .02 on the tree and Finke running a .48, math says he was on a low .40 run. Don't know if the thing wounded itself early or not. Looks like he may have got the chutes out early (doh), to be ahead by .07 at 1000' and lose by almost .2 at the stripe.

Hopefully there will be another blown car in the final in Houston
