Whipple over drive

    What is the max rpm you can spin a whipple (R980) too? Is 50% over, safe enough with the motor turning 8300rpm?

    50 Over Is No Problem
    Sand Runners Are Going Like 70 Over I Believe
    I Went 55 Over At 9,000

    That's right!!! If you look at the tag on the back of your blower it should say (if it's still legible) that the maximum rotor speed should not exceed 19,000 rpm. So 50 over shouldn't be any problem at all. I run mine 80 over without any mishaps.
