setting up a blown 510 hemi to run in a 2200lb altered. 3spd lenco, clutch car. want to run 6.90-6.70. is a 110 pump to small?(13gpm) or should use a larger pump(15.7gpm) 14-71 set about 30% hat and ports lines. not trying to get a complete tune just wonder about gpm versus et.

    fuel pump

were building the same combo in a dragster. i called enderle and they said it should have a 990 pump on it. i put a waterman pump on it that flows 16.9 gpm and we have a bybass hooked up to dump off about a gallon off fuel. so were right around 15.9 gpm. hope this helps. thanks joe

Most of the alcohol burning hemis in the Outlaw Fuel Altereds run either a 990 or 1100 pump. Just depends on your combination.

990 or 1100. We went 1100 with a pump sizer.

Just went 6.78 with 588 BBC 1471 hi helix with 110 (12.6 at 4,000) with 80 pill and no hi-speed. Car was very fat after 6500rpm. Tune up was way safe

X2 , 110 pump should be fine. If you have to run a sizer with a bigger pump , then the pump is too big. This is why they make so many different size pumps. Get the right one for the engine or better still, get the system flowed by the experts. Ask 10 different people on these type of boards & you will get 10 different answers. As JT mentioned , it really does depend on your particular application. The more air in, the more fuel needed.

The 110 may work but you'll be on the edge with little tuneability. You are better off going to the 990 or even the 1100 and running a loop(pump sizer).

The cost isn't that much difference and if you decide to step up a little later, your pump should be up to the task.

    Something to consider:
A 110 and a 990 are the same body cavity. To get the longer gear in to make a 990, the cover is machined thinner. The axle the gear rides on is in the cover.
The 1100 and 1200 are the same body cavity. The 1100 cover and 110 cover are the thick ones. 1200 cover is thin again. Would logic tell you that the thicker front cover might keep the gear more stable ?

Standard disclaimer: I'm just a welder! (although I've stood in front of a flow bench for over 500 hrs., but did I learn anything ?)
