which rods for screw blower?

    just wandering what conecting rod is most commonly used in f/c's with a psi. there is the brooks b-2, grp has a couple versions , and childs and albert has the 7075 rod or the deep cycle. what does everyone think?

    Hey Bruce,it dont matter we have tried deep cycles.put them out at 12 to 14 runs,run the 7075 ones same thing, you cant listen to anyone about rods because dragster guys run no stroke(less rod angle) most of the other funny cars run reduced stroke plus the pistons in a brad motor are lighter. BOb runs a 4.5 stroke like you and we do to. 10 runs max on any rod.so we run the brooks b2 (cheapest hard rod)8 to 10 runs, Man we recked our brand new 10 block and our 8 learning this. in your motor that #6 hole check wrist pin end as often as you have time to. till you square it away, We had 10.1 in that hole with the screw.you have 185 cc heads,Minimum 90 GASKET with standard newberry pistons. In my opinion thats to much comp with th PSI.
