Hey guys...the last couple of years i've been running NGK's R5671A-9 plug I believe it is...this year I was told to change to an NGK B9ES because it is a little easier to read. However after looking at one, they look the same w/ a shiny end. Does NGK make them like i've been told they use to w/ a little copper or gold look to them???

The only real difference between those two plugs you listed is that the B9ES has a 13/16 hex and the R5671A-9 has a 5/8" hex. The heat ranges are the same as I believe the length of the ground strap, The R5671A-9 is considered a racing plug where the B9ES is a standard auto plug. They are both cadium plated.

The ground strap is shorter on the R5671A-9 and also I think the gap is at .018 instead of .035 like the B9ES. I know the -10 is, that way if your running a mag you don't have to bang them on the vise to close the gap.As for the color they havn't been gold for a few years now, but they still read the same.

    Good luck
