just putting together an alcohol funny car for the first time, its a 99 model prostart chasis with a pontiac firebird body ex cy chesterman car, just wondering does every body put a net over the bar so the chutes dont get caught, the chutes are mounted together in the centre of the body, im a dragster guy so never had any funny car experience
    any help much appreciated

    shoots!!

yes, it is a good idea to install a net over the bars, just incase the chutes just plop out. Every person I have been with, even on our funny car/altered has had a net. Don't rely on the brakes. BEST OF LUCK WITH YOUR NEW PIPE...

We use an out of date window net. It works great. We just zip tie it to the bars and, away we go.

If you want something that "looks" like it belongs there, we can make one for you (DJ Safety). Instead of looking like a window net at the price of a window net!
