What's the deal with these main bearings?

    The mains in my KB10 are Clevite MB3248M. Are they discontinued or something? I've searched all over the place on the internet and can't find that part number. Is there a different bearing I should be using?

    The part number on each bearing is not the Set part number.

    bearings

    I along with most people I know run the hard bearings ending in a V. Tha M bearings we found when running hard, especially on the rods do not hold up. CV Products or Brad Anderson could tell you if the soft bearings are still available, I am pretty sure they are. I just got rid off 6 trays of soft rods and mains. good luck. Rich Putz
