15.1 i believe are strickly alky rear wheels
new fronts are 15.2's not sure why they are what they are, didnt know fronts need sfi

I beleive you may be correct but would like to know for certain before i buy new ones too. Are the fuel ones heavier or stronger or what. Wonder if the new rules will mandate alky "upgrade" to the 15.3???thanks again for any info warren dauzat

the centers are massive compared to my 15.1's
even have cromemoly bushings in the stud holes so the stay concentric
much stonger than a plain alum center
    but also MUCH HIGHER PRICED
but i like you wanted the newest and best available, as i can only afford them once
"then drill holes in them for the second stem"

the main difference in a 15.1 and a 15.3 wheel is the 15.1 wheels have 15 bolts to clamp the tire on both sides of the wheel, the 15.3 wheel has 24 bolts clamping the tire on each side of the wheel.if I was buying new wheels I would buy 15.3 for resale down the road, but 15.3 wheels are only required in top fuel dragster & funnycar!

But more than likely NHRA sooner or later will require alcohol to have the 15-3 cert it always comes to that. So spend the money now rather than twice. Dave

there was a window of time when centerline made 15.1 wheels with 24 bolts,I have a set of these wheels myself!it then became a 15.3 spec. I was told you could send these wheels back and they would 15.3 recert these wheels, but have not heard this from centerline.
